Employment Opportunity
The University of Toledo seeks a lecturer to teach Spanish language
courses starting Fall Semester, 2008.
Applicants must demonstrate at least near-native fluency in Spanish and
English, and hold an M.A. degree, or its equivalent, in Spanish or in foreign
language education with an emphasis in Spanish. An understanding of modern communicative approaches to
language teaching, including task-based proficiency-oriented instruction is
highly desired. Significant
qualifications include: prior college-level teaching experience, understanding
of multimedia applications and web-assisted instruction. Interest in Spanish for special
purposes a plus. This is a
continuing appointment contingent upon satisfactory performance and institutional
